USGS Indian Creek gage (USGS 05464695): Fencl reported that the annual operation and maintenance for the gage is roughly $15,000. The Board raised several questions such as:
Annual State of Indian Creek Watershed report: Fencl distributed a draft report and discussed some additional information needed. The Board set some deadlines for a revised draft report and a subsequent review by Board members in late July.
Work plan review (FY16) and FY17 budget: Fencl provided a revised FY16 work plan showing outcomes and associated costs and reviewed a proposal for the FY17 budget and work plan. Pumphrey discussed the need for development of strategic plan or an annual projects plan and the potential of hiring a full time Watershed Coordinator to move projects forward. After Board discussion, there was a motion by Beck and a second by Frana, to maintain the FY16 revenue levels in FY17 and adopt the proposed FY17 work plan, using the remaining funds towards the development of a Watershed Coordinator job description and position. Motion carried.
Watershed-wide Ordinance Review Project: John Bruce, ECICOG Intern, reported on his project to summarize the current stormwater related ordinances and evaluate them against the SWMM and ordinances considered to be closer to a model ordinance. These results will be included in the Annual State of Indian Creek Watershed report.
