Project Administration Update:
-Requested a contract extension from IEDA until August 17th to accommodate the time it takes to get the agreement approved by all political subdivisions.
-Summarized the WMA project budget and requested that committee members continue to submit their in-kind time.
-Meeting summaries are completed and will be sent via email to committee & IEDA.
-Reviewed final report expectations with the committee.
WMA Phase I Status: Discussed where each political subdivision was in the process of reviewing and approving the WMA Agreement. The Linn SWCD had someone in the State Attorney General's office review our final WMA Agreement and found no substantial issues. The committee requested that email for their records. Discussed appointing board representatives and how that will get done. Discussed the need to move forward with drafting WMA by-laws.
WMA Phase II RFP: Distributed a portion of the Phase II RFP to request watershed management planning funds for discussion. The committee approved the proposal for the City of Marion to be the applicant on behalf of the Indian Creek WMA and work with ECICOG staff to complete the RFP response.
Next meeting: Discussed setting a meeting in late July.
